Mapping Skills

Mapping Skills teaches students the elements of map reading skills including symbols and keys, scale, grid referencing, direction, simple map interpretation.

Students answers series of questions in a variety of ways (multi choice, opening hotspots, dragging a dropping items and typing in answers). The are given on screen advice and help and their work is marked. The results are stored in a comprehensive class management system so that the teacher can check on what has been achieved

All the sample maps are based on Ordnance Survey digital map extracts.
